Join Our Team as a Supervisor - Central North (Contract)
Epiroc Canada is seeking an experienced Supervisor to support our onsite maintenance and product support operations at Borden Mine in Chapleau, Ontario.
Reporting to the Service Manager – Central North, the Supervisor will serve as Epiroc's primary onsite representative, providing day-to-day leadership to technicians and support personnel while ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer and company expectations.
This position plays a key role in driving equipment reliability, workforce performance, maintenance execution, and customer satisfaction in a dynamic mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily maintenance, product support, and service activities.
- Provide direction, coaching, and support to technicians, shift supervisors, and site personnel.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable legislation.
- Coordinate maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability, reliability, and operational performance.
- Monitor equipment performance, downtime, maintenance compliance, and work execution quality.
- Support the planning and execution of preventative maintenance programs, repairs, rebuilds, and component replacements.
- Ensure maintenance work is completed in accordance with Epiroc standards and OEM best practices.
- Participate in incident investigations and support implementation of corrective actions.
- Address operational issues related to safety, equipment availability, operator feedback, and Short Interval Control (SIC).
- Optimize the utilization of labour, equipment, tools, and resources to achieve operational objectives.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with customer representatives while providing timely communication and operational updates.
Qualifications
- Trade certification, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in heavy equipment, mining equipment, industrial maintenance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum five (5) years of mining, heavy equipment, or maintenance experience.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience within a mining, industrial, or heavy equipment environment.
- Strong knowledge of mining operations, equipment maintenance, and safety regulations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements and risk management practices.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using CMMS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Epiroc SDE, LHD, and TME experience is considered an asset.
- Valid driver's licence.
Working Conditions
- Based onsite at Borden Mine, Chapleau Ontario.
- Work is performed in an active mining environment and requires adherence to all site access and safety requirements.
- Rotation schedule to be communicated during the recruitment process.
