About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team in Two Harbors, MN. This is an entry-level, multi-skilled role responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment across our production and facility operations.
This position plays a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.
The pay range for this position is $27.00-$34.00 per hour.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to maintenance work orders and complete repairs safely and efficiently
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, with and without schematics
- Install, maintain, and support equipment such as:
- CNC machines
- Robotic welding systems
- Cranes, hoists, and automation equipment
- Assist in diagnosing machine alarms, faults, and control issues
- Perform inspections on motors, pumps, and other equipment
- Support preventive maintenance programs and continuous improvement efforts
- Respond to facility-related issues such as alarms, leaks, and emergency repairs
- Document work in maintenance systems and keep manuals up to date
- Operate powered industrial vehicles and assist with general facility upkeep
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use PPE
What You Bring
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–2 years of low-voltage electrical maintenance experience
- Basic knowledge of:
- Power distribution and motor controls
- AC/DC variable speed drives
- PLCs and process controls
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred:
- Associate degree in electrical or electronics field
- Journeyman electrician license (MN) or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
