Senior Service Engineer - Zawar Mine

Join Epiroc Mining India Private Ltd as a Senior Service Engineer based at the Zawar Mine in Udaipur. This is a pivotal role within our Field Service Department, part of the Corporate Units business area, focused on delivering exceptional customer-centered service excellence.

About the Role

As a Senior Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive mechanical and auto electrical support for all scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs across the equipment fleet at our site. Your expertise will contribute to the efficient repair processes and enhance the ongoing performance of all contract-related equipment.

You will play an important role in managing the MRS EPIROC India contract, ensuring first-class service and product delivery that aligns with our reputation as "First in Mind, First in Choice" within the mining and construction industry. Collaborating closely with other stakeholders, you will help ensure effective and efficient contract execution, all while upholding Epiroc's standards and policies as articulated in "The Way We Do Things".

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute maintenance repair services ensuring optimal equipment availability, reliability, and safety performance.
  • Manage preventive maintenance compliance, including timely backlog execution, oil analysis actions, and CERTIQ reporting.
  • Drive asset optimization efforts in partnership with customers, identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements to enhance operational excellence.
  • Promote and maintain a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility in all activities.
  • Lead and develop team members by sharing knowledge, building confidence, and fostering a high-performing service culture aligned with industry benchmarks.
  • Maintain strong communication lines with customers and internal teams, effectively managing conflicts and negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Ensure strict adherence to 5S methodologies, work area housekeeping, and reduction of fluid or oil leakages, maintaining a safe and organized workplace.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability by consistently upholding Epiroc's values, encouraging work-life balance, and supporting business unit initiatives.

Competences and Skills Required

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience as an SAP user and working in large contract environments.
  • Solid understanding of equipment costs, operating influences, CAPEX, OPEX, and contract management principles.
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering and maintenance best practices.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities, coupled with excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Financial acumen with the ability to interpret costing models and cost implications.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including report writing and customer liaison.
  • Proven conflict management skills and the ability to work through others to achieve organizational goals.
  • A strong, independent personality with a result-oriented mindset and systematic approach to work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels, including non-technical stakeholders.
