Join Epiroc Mining India Private Ltd as a Service Engineer in our Field Service Department located at IND_Udajpur_RD Mines, within the Corporate Units Business Area. About the Role

As a Service Engineer specializing in Mine Trucks, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of underground mine trucks. Your expertise will support safe, efficient, and reliable equipment performance that directly contributes to mining productivity and business success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety Compliance: Uphold and enforce stringent safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment for both personnel and equipment in underground mining conditions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of service activities, maintenance history, and safety checks to support operational transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Customer and Site Support: Collaborate closely with mining site teams and customers to provide timely technical assistance, address inquiries, and foster strong service relationships.
  • Equipment Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to monitor the health and performance of underground mine trucks, identifying issues before they affect operations.
  • Troubleshooting and Technical Support: Apply advanced diagnostic skills and root-cause analysis techniques to resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems efficiently.
  • Maintenance of Underground Trucks: Plan, execute, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities on hydraulic systems, diesel engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, and powertrain systems.

Required Competencies, Skills, and Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience working with underground mine trucks, demonstrating a strong technical background in mining equipment service.
  • Degree or diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems and Remote Control Systems (RCS).
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and hydraulic circuit diagrams.
  • Strong understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, and overall powertrain systems.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting ability combined with methodical root-cause analysis skills.
