SHEQ Officer at Epiroc Mongolia LLC

The primary purpose of this position is to support, implement, and continuously improve the Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) management systems across the organization. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable local regulatory requirements and Epiroc standards, while providing timely, competent, and practical SHEQ advice to operational teams. This position plays a key role in fostering a proactive safety culture and ensuring that SHEQ performance, reporting, and risk management processes are effectively maintained.

Specific tasks and responsibilities, but are not limited to:

• • Assist and implement in the implementation of SHEQ management systems and process in the area/organization of accountability and provide support and expertise to the operation.
  • Field presence performing workplace inspection, task observation, facilitating hazard and risk assessments.
  • Identify critical safety and health risks/issues, evaluate their potential impact, and recommend effective mitigation measures to control or eliminate those risks to line management.
  • Report all hazards, accidents, incidents, near misses, and non-conformances to the responsible manager without delay.
  • Conducting accident/incident investigations; implement immediate actions on every incident/ near miss
  • Coordinates and participates in HSE meetings, inspections, audits, interactions and observations.
  • Attending daily prestart meetings within the area and contributes to safety learning sharing.
  • Report HSE weekly and monthly KPI.
  • Review reports regularly to monitor progress and data quality.
  • Develop policies and planning of occupational safety and hygiene (OSH) of entity and organization, renew, approve and implement necessary rules and procedures;
  • Introduce OSH management system and monitor its implementation and result;
  • Conduct inspections on implementation status of requirements and standards of OSH, environmental and other relevant regulations, and rules and procedures of in industry, entity and organization and take measures to eliminate identified violation;
  • Determine, plan and develop OSH training needs, develop program, arrange training and analyses result and report;
  • To provide employees with special clothing and protective equipment appropriate for work conditions monitor/control their standards, quality and proper use;
  • To propose to the employer to charge with responsibility regarding official or personnel who has violated requirements, standards and procedures of OSH regulations;

Required Competencies, Skills, and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree, OSH, Trade qualified Mechanical or Engineering
• Office program
• Knowledge of Mongolian HSE legal requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in safety
• Good communication skills oral & written
• Sound report writing skills
• Good English skills /Writing & Speaking/
