As a Supply Chain Specialist at Epiroc Mongolia LLC, you will play a key role in coordinating end-to-end supply chain activities to ensure the seamless delivery of materials and services that drive customer satisfaction and support sustainable business growth. This position provides a strategic and operational link between customers, sales, planning, distribution centers, and product companies, enabling a world-class supply chain aligned with both local and global objectives.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will encompass managing critical supply chain functions including procurement, inventory management, demand planning, and logistics coordination to ensure prompt and accurate execution of customer orders. You will be integral in responding to increasing customer demands, especially supporting the anticipated 50% increase in RGD consumable needs from 2027 onwards.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Coordinate closely with sales, planners, and warehouse teams to guarantee accurate, on-time delivery of customer orders, managing backorders effectively, and verifying price and product information.
- Analyze and evaluate customer requirements, preparing comprehensive price and lead time quotations using up-to-date pricing files and systems.
- Process customer spare parts orders through the Epiroc ERP system, ensuring accuracy and completeness from order acceptance to purchase order generation for Distribution Centers.
- Maintain proactive communication with Distribution Centers to monitor order status, ensuring allocation, picking, packing, and shipping activities meet schedule commitments.
- Oversee receiving processes, allocate and pick goods against both internal and external orders, and prepare necessary delivery documentation tailored to customer specifications.
- Issue financial documents including proforma invoices, sales invoices, and credit notes; verify pricing lists based on distribution center data and oversee credit limit checks prior to delivery and order placement.
- Manage inventory by reviewing monthly stock levels of spare parts, coordinating stock returns, redistributions, and scrapping or impairment in line with company policies.
- Support and back up other departmental functions, promoting operational resilience and teamwork.
- Prepare timely reports for Epiroc Mongolia and MMEG management, contributing to data-driven decision-making and continuous performance improvement.
Key Competences, Skills, and Experience
- Supply Chain Management: Deep understanding of procurement, demand planning, inventory control, logistics, distribution, and supplier relationships.
- Procurement & Supplier Management: Experience engaging with suppliers, managing quotations, purchase orders, and contract support activities.
- Planning & Forecasting: Capable of analyzing demand, lead times, and inventory levels to optimize availability and minimize shortages.
- Inventory Management: Expertise in stock optimization strategies including safety stock determination, reorder points, and eliminating excess inventory.
- Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills to examine supply chain data, identify trends and variances, and recommend improvements.
- Systems Proficiency: Skilled in ERP and MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, complemented by advanced Excel capabilities.
- Logistics Coordination: Experience in managing transportation, warehousing, customs, and delivery logistics.
- Problem Solving: Ability to quickly identify and resolve supply disruptions, delays, and risks with practical solutions.
