Senior Assistant Controller

The Senior Assistant Controller plans, organizes, directs, controls, and evaluates the operations of the accounting department. They develop and implement the company’s financial procedures and systems. They are also responsible for establishing an integrated and efficient system to reduce the risk of errors and ensure effective control over the company’s activities and transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze accounting records, general ledger, financial statements, and other accounting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare or coordinate the preparation of financial statements, profitability reports, and management analyses.
- Determine cost of goods sold and analyze variances between objectives and actual results.
- Refine and implement efficient accounting procedures and financial systems.
- Supervise accounts receivable management and approve certain supplier payments.
- Ensure internal and external communications (reports, emails, documents).
- Plan and prepare year-end reports and supervise special assignments.
- Maintain relationships with financial institutions, accounting firms, and other partners.
Required Profile:
- University degree (Bachelor’s) in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting or Accounting Sciences;
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or any other relevant equivalent experience;
- Language: Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written;
- IT Skills:

- Microsoft Office Suite;
- Acumatica accounting software;
- Dayforce;
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and with multiple stakeholders at different levels;
- Strong listening skills and ease of communication;
- Strong priority management skills to coordinate tasks and monitor their progress;
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Ability to adapt to various situations and demonstrate flexibility in their work.
* Bilingualism is required for this position, as the majority of stakeholders communicate in English. This competency is essential, given that approximately 60% of responsibilities are carried out in English and 40% in French.
