We are seeking an experienced Assembly Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations at our Welshpool facility. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will drive production performance, ensure a strong safety culture, and build an engaged, high-performing team.
Working closely with the Production Manager and cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in delivering operational targets while continuously improving safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production operations to meet safety, quality, and delivery targets
- Champion a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with WHS standards and safe work practices
- Monitor performance against production plans and address deviations in real time
- Lead, coach, and develop a motivated and capable team
- Maintain strong shop floor presence to support standards, problem-solving, and continuous improvement
- Drive improvements in safety, quality, and productivity through lean and continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in production meetings and cross-functional improvement activities
- Actively support outsourcing when needed
About you
- Trade-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting & Machining, or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience in fabrication, assembly, or manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices
- Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced production environment
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and lean principles
- Strong communication and people leadership skills
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach
- Ability to adapt, lead change, and drive accountability
