We are seeking a Quality Technician to join our team based in Welshpool. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring product, process, and supplier quality by identifying risks early, supporting corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement across operations.
The Role
- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure quality standards are met
- Identify, report, and manage non-conformances, including supplier-related issues
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions (e.g. 5 Whys, Fishbone)
- Monitor supplier quality performance and coordinate resolutions
- Participate in product, process, and engineering change management
- Track and report quality KPIs and maintain accurate documentation (QMS, SharePoint)
- Perform Gemba walks and engage with production teams to identify risks and improvements
- Ensure calibration and compliance of measuring equipment
- Support commissioning activities and investigate customer warranty issues
About you
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a quality role within manufacturing or production
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience using measuring equipment and inspection tools
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
