We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on, industry professtional to join CR Powered by Epiroc as a Technical Specialist - GET, supporting our cast lips and GET products across WA fabrication shops and mine sites. 

This is more than a desk job. You’ll be out in the field solving problems, supporting customers, working with workshops, improving product performance, and becoming the go-to technical expert for some of the biggest mining operations in WA. Our office is based in Welshpool, Perth. When you’re not out visiting customers, bucket shops, or mine sites, you’ll have the flexibility to work in a hybrid arrangement between home and the office.

  • Boilermaker 

  • Welder 

  • Mechanical tradesperson 

  • Fabrication specialist 

  • Heavy mining maintenance professional 

  • OR even an engineer with strong welding/fabrication exposure

What You’ll Actually Be Doing 

  • Supporting bucket shops and customers with technical advice and troubleshooting 

  • Inspecting lips, GET, and mining assets 

  • Helping improve product performance and reliability 

  • Coaching workshops on welding specs, fitment, and best practice 

  • Investigating failures and solving site issues 

  • Working closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Sales teams 

  • Becoming a trusted technical partner across WA operations 

 

What We’re Looking For 

 

  • Experience in mining fabrication, bucket repairs, GET, or heavy maintenance 

  • Strong welding and fabrication knowledge 

  • The ability to communicate confidently with tradespeople, customers, and engineers 

  • A problem-solving mindset and pride in quality work 

  • Good organisation and ownership of your work 

  • Willingness to travel to workshops and sites regularly 

  • We care about practical experience, attitude, and technical credibility 

Bonus points if you have: 

  • Experience with GET systems or mining buckets 

  • Failure analysis experience 

  • Exposure to customer-facing technical support 

  • Engineering qualifications alongside trade experience
