Project Technical Engineer

Specific Responsibilities:
• Full Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee project coordination for complete rock drills and core components, from requirements analysis, solution design, prototype manufacturing, to production launch; manage schedule, cost, and risks; coordinate internal and external resources across R&D, procurement, production, and quality.
• International Technical Communication: Conduct full-English technical coordination with overseas headquarters and international teams, including design reviews, issue tracing, and improvement reporting; independently prepare technical reports in English and participate in cross-time-zone meetings.
• Structural Design & Dimensional Engineering: Proficiently use SolidWorks, CAD, and Creo for 3D modeling and 2D engineering drawings; master dimensional fits, tolerance analysis, and dimensional chain calculations to ensure component interchangeability and overall machine precision.
• Process, Materials & Hydraulic Systems: Familiar with common metallic materials, heat treatment, and surface finishing processes; knowledgeable in machining processes (turning, milling, boring, grinding); capable of hydraulic component selection and system matching; participate in design-for-manufacturability (DFM) reviews.
• Technical Development & Problem Solving: Lead the localization substitution of core rock drill components, with a focus on rubber parts, seals, and machined components, including local process validation and performance equivalence assessment; resolve issues related to material matching, process stability, durability, and thermal processing (forging/heat treatment) during localization, ensuring localized parts meet imported technical standards.
• Supplier Technical Coordination: Conduct technical audits, process reviews, sample acceptance, and quality issue closure for key component suppliers; be able to go to supplier sites to resolve machining and assembly challenges.
• Technical Documentation & Standardization: Prepare and review test plans, test protocols, SOPs (work instructions), technical manuals, technical documentation (including BOMs, drawing catalogs, maintenance manuals, etc.), and project tracking sheets; manage the standardization of documentation throughout all phases of rock drill product development, ensuring completeness, traceability, and version control; participate in the development of corporate technical standards and patent filings.
• Cross-Department Collaboration & Cost Control: Collaborate with production, quality, and procurement departments to drive manufacturing feasibility improvements; participate in cost analysis and optimization of key components to ensure technical solutions are economically viable.
•Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Materials Science, or related fields.
•Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and process engineering for hydraulic products. Experience in hydraulic pump design and mining/construction equipment is preferred.
•Industry Knowledge: Proficient in the structural principles and maintenance of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors) or drilling/excavation equipment (rock drills, drills); familiar with mechanical design, metallic materials and heat treatment, and hydraulic transmission.
•Software Skills: Proficient in CAD/SolidWorks or similar design software; familiar with project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera for scheduling and progress monitoring.
•Project Management Capability: Experience with predictive (waterfall) or agile project management methodologies; able to balance technical requirements, schedule, and resources to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. PMP certification is a plus.
•Cost & Benefit Awareness: Ability to link technical decisions with economic returns, pursuing cost-optimal solutions while meeting technical requirements.
•Communication & Resilience: Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders (management, workers, clients) in demanding field environments (e.g., mine sites); capable of rapid response and decision-making for urgent on-site issues.
•Experience & Qualifications: 5+ years of technical experience in related fields (pump industry or mining/construction equipment preferred), with experience leading or significantly participating in medium-to-large-scale projects (project localization/technology transfer).
•Language Proficiency: Proficient in English listening, speaking, reading, and writing; able to interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and process standards in English; capable of translating and organizing technical documentation in English.
