About the Role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play an essential role in the technical development of product solutions related to our PSD business, incorporating reverse engineering, structural design, tooling creation, and new product development. Your responsibilities will span the entire project lifecycle, supporting everything from initial concept through mass production launch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to new product development projects, ensuring milestones and quality standards are met.
  • Design structural components for PSD parts with a strong focus on durability, manufacturability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Design and plan tooling and fixtures to support product manufacturing needs, improving assembly and production processes.
  • Select appropriate materials for aftermarket products and define robust manufacturing processes, establishing and maintaining relevant documentation.
  • Provide comprehensive R&D support across project phases, ensuring technical solutions align with business goals.
  • Prepare detailed project documentation, technical drawings, and reports to aid cross-functional collaboration and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement teams to support supplier qualification and certification processes, enhancing supply chain quality.
  • Investigate and resolve mechanical issues arising during manufacturing, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop machine testing procedures as needed to validate product functionality and reliability.

Required Competences and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Manufacturing, Construction Machinery, Structural Engineering, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in structural design, process engineering, or R&D within the construction machinery sector.
  • Strong proficiency in mechanical structural design principles, combined with comprehensive knowledge of engineering material properties and processing techniques.
  • Experience with aftermarket business processes related to construction machinery structural components is an advantage.
  • Expertise in SolidWorks and CAD software for precise 3D modeling, drafting, and onsite physical measurements.
  • Ability to independently design manufacturing processes and create, maintain, and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) effectively.
  • Good English reading and writing skills sufficient to interpret complex technical drawings, equipment manuals, and process standards, as well as to manage technical documentation organization and conversion.
